Norman is a NY-based artist, content-creator, & professional from Miami
Norman’s journey with photography began early when he would take his parents’ camera to school field trips in elementary school to take photos of his friends. One lucky day, he decided to pick out a disposable camera from the class treasure box for behaving well— when he got his photos developed, he was hooked! Eventually, he begged his parents for his own DSLR in middle school. In high school, he would ask his friends to let him shoot them at the beach, industrial junkyards, and unconventional locations: places he found interesting in suburban Miami.
His first job ever was an unpaid internship as a celebrity styling assistant where he learned more about the fashion industry after having saved up for his own subscriptions to Vogue and Interview during high school. Norman took these skills to New York when he moved at the age of 19, styling and producing his own photoshoots.
Art and art history have always given meaning to Norman’s life. He is grateful to get to apply this passion to his professional life by having developed a career in the art world. He graduated in 2024 as an English major from Columbia University and has worked at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Armory Show, a 280+ exhibitor art fair, The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts, and other art fairs and prestigious galleries.
Creatively, Norman's work seeks to reflect today's world and its people. By referencing and applying his knowledge of art history to the language of fashion photography, Norman aims to create work that highlights other young artists, pokes fun at the fashion world, and illustrates the unbelievably curious and beautiful moment of self-expression currently present in the 21st century.
